The whole family enjoyed their stay, the cottage was very clean and well equipped and very spacious. Owners where very friendly and very helpful. Easy access to different places to visit, good parking facilities, nice gardens. We would like to thank Carole and Steve for a wonderful stay, we will be back.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hillend. It is an ideal base for all the local attractions and places of interest. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and all the little extras were a pleasant surprise.

This is our second time at the cottages and once again have thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The weather has been fantastic- not a drop of rain for 2 weeks! Places worth a visit are Bristol zoo, court farm crealy Adventure Park. Thanks to Steve and Carole for their hospitality.

Most enjoyable stay, excellent base for exploring yet also peaceful for those wanting a restful holiday. Cottage spacious x2 bathrooms most welcoming. Excellent food at sanders garden centre and Papas fish and chips at w-s-m.

Lovely holiday, cottage was excellent, warm welcome. Days out were good. Cheddar caves fantastic and good walking, beach at Brean good. Longleat a must to see the animals. Children also enjoyed Weston beach and donkey rides.  A week was not long enough.

had a great week. C (4) T (2) had lots of fun. The smithy is just what we were looking for, clean, comfy and an ideal base for all the attractions. We had a brill day at longleat safari park, excellent value for money! Wookey hole another big hit. Girls loved having the park at hand all week and would quite happily stay another week! A wonderful stay. We were very impressed by the high standards of cleanliness and general quality of smithy cottage. The location is ideal for exploring the countryside etc. 1 ½ hours to longleat very good value attraction recommend coach when visiting animals! Bath about an hours drive and also extremely interesting. We enjoyed evening meals in the coach house locking good value for money. Brewer’s inn at Banwell very friendly good food and traditional games table skittles etc. Chillies Indian rest Banwell good food. Chinese takeaway in locking was also fine. We will definitely be coming back for another stay in the future. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Bird for your care and attention.

Lovely surroundings, plenty of places to go and see. Cheddar George, wookey hole, wells, Glastonbury, Brean, Burnham on sea and Weston. Ask any time for help and it’s given with no fuss by people who run the place! Cottage excellent all extras appreciated.
